I initially built SlayBay for my girlfriend. Watching her dig through Instagram, TikTok, and Google just to find a nail or lash artist nearby whose work matched her vibe, with a clear price before committing, was exhausting. Not after DMing five people and waiting three days.
So the app is pretty simple on purpose. Browse real work in a feed. Swipe through artists matched to your style, budget, and how far you’re willing to drive. Save the ones you like. Message when you’re ready. That’s it.
It’s for people who care about their sets but don’t want to overpay for the privilege of guessing. And I built it for personal nail and lash artists too. The ones working on their own, no shop, who get underheard compared to salons. They deserve a place to show their work and get found by the right clients.
